Industrial Engineering Advisory Council (IEAC)
Vision
To assist the Department of Industrial Engineering in attaining and sustaining excellence in teaching, research, and service and realizing its vision of being the university of first choice for Industrial Engineering in our region and also enjoying national prominence in selected areas.
Mission
Provide the Department with guidance and assistance in:
- Development and delivery of curricula of high quality that meets the needs of industry regionally and nationally.
- Conducting a research program that is relevant to industry needs and at the same time advances the field of industrial engineering.
- Providing experiential education for students that will increase their value in the workplace.
- Developing industrial partnerships that enhance our education and research programs and provide significant service to the industry and community.
- Identifying and developing external resources to enhance Department/University programs.
Membership Composition
The Industrial Engineering Advisory Council (IEAC) will consist of professionals with sufficient technical background to advise us on technical issues pertaining to education and research in industrial engineering. Likewise the individuals should occupy positions which give them sufficient vision of their organizations and industries such that they can assist us in understanding how industrial engineering can serve the broad context of their enterprise. We expect that the IAB will also work on resource development opportunities, often collaboratively with the Dean’s Industrial Advisory Committee.
The Department of Industrial Engineering strongly values the active participation and direction it receives from industry. Our advisory council provides a forum for collaboration and mutual benefit. Members include:
