The MS degree requires a written thesis and an oral defense of this thesis. The MSE degree program is a non-thesis option that requires a final written Comprehensive Exam covering the core area coursework. The Ph.D. degree is offered to students who have completed a Bachelors or Master’s degree in engineering, or a closely related field, with distinction.
