Faculty Advisement
Did you know that we have nationally and internationally renowned faculty members in IE? What is even more exciting is the fact that all IE students are assigned a faculty advisor. Faculty advisors are here to serve as mentors. Their role is different from your academic advisor who guides you with course selection and curriculum requirements. In general, faculty advising is ideal for students who are prepared to discuss:
- Career focus areas
- Internship plans and possibilities
- Graduate education and opportunities
- Post baccalaureate plans and aspirations
- Employment opportunities and/or desires
- Professional registration
- Nature of the field of Industrial Engineering and changes occurring
