The Industrial Engineering Department offers an integrated BSE/MS-MSE program as part of the undergraduate IE curriculum. This program is particularly suited for students with strong academic backgrounds who are motivated to pursue independent research. Participants will have an opportunity to work in a laboratory/ research environment and engage in theoretical and/or experimental work with faculty and doctoral student mentors.
How does it work?
The merge (or integration) between the two programs occurs when students select their Career Focus classes for the bachelor's program. The Career Focus courses will be 500-level graduate courses and will apply toward the 30-hour master's degree (in addition to applying toward the 120-hour bachelor's degree). Once the bachelor's degree is completed, students will need an additional 20 semester hours to earn the master's degree.
What are the Qualifications?
Interested students should meet with their academic advisor to learn more about the program and how to apply.
This is a great opportunity to earn two degrees in a shorter period of time.
