Getting Started

Welcome to Industrial Engineering at ASU. It's great to have you as a member of our academic family, and we are hopeful that this major will far exceed your expectations. There are several things you need to do before classes start. First, attend ASU's Freshman Orientation so that you can meet with your IE academic advisor and learn more about our IE program and the procedures for class registration.

You should also attend Sun Devil 101 (one week preceding Fall classes) to better acquaint yourself with ASU as you transition into university life. The Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering Assembly is part of the Sun Devil 101 activities and is followed by our IE Orientation Meeting. At our IE meeting, you will meet our faculty plus, you will gain some insight on what to expect as a first-semester student at ASU. Getting started is a big first step, but we know you're up to the challenge.
