Are You Up to the Challenge?

We hope that you are excited about being an engineering student, and more specifically, an Industrial Engineering student. We are proud to have you as a member of our family and hope that you are ready for a challenging, yet rewarding, academic career. In a recent survey, our senior students had many positive things to say about their IE experience. Some of their responses included:

• I like the broad scope of Industrial Engineering and the fact that IE can allow someone to have a job in various industries.
• I like efficiency, and the major focused on how to make processes more efficient.
• IE teaches good problem solving and managerial skills.
• I like the group projects and the human interaction. I like meeting intelligent people.
• The IE program offers a broad range of topics and prepared me for many things from manufacturing, to supply chain management, to statistical analysis.
• The faculty is awesome. They are always available to help you out, and once you get into your upper level classes, it feels like a family atmosphere because you've "grown up" with everyone in your classes.
